Because people with ME/CFS and FMS often do not look particularly ill, they may not be believed. Dr. David Bell, a renowned authority on ME/CFS and FMS stated, “The question should not be ‘How can someone who looks well be so ill:’ but rather is should be, ‘How can someone who is so ill possibly look well?’ ”

People suffering from these severe chronic illnesses, particularly when the illnesses are poorly understood, often become lonely and isolated. Some may find joining a Support Group beneficial.

Although the National ME/FM Action Network is an independent organziation, we work cooperatively with all support groups and organziations across Canada.   We would like to thank all the organizations for their ongoing support of our many projects.   All patients, whether or not they belong to a Support Group are asked to support the National ME/FM Action Network in order that we can continue with our projects that benefit all of the FMS and ME/CFS communities.

If you are looking for a Support Group, please view our Directory.  We have provided links to the organization that have websites. For those Support Groups and Organizations that do not have websites, we have provided contact information.  If you would like us to post information about your group or if your information changes, please contact us.

If you cannot find a Support Group in your area, and would like to start one, the following information may be helpful.  If we can be of assistance, please contact us.
