About Us
The National ME/FM Action Network is a Canadian, registered charitable organization of volunteers reaching out internationally and dedicated to helping the medical, legal and general public in spreading awareness for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia (ME/CFS and FMS) through support, advocacy, education, and research and the publishing of a quarterly newsletter “QUEST” which is included with an annual membership fee.
Our organization has developed s network of support with the medical and legal communities as well as government agencies in an effort to spread awareness and affect change.
It works closely with the known support groups and disability associations, our members and the general public. It endeavors to keep them informed and up to date as to current news of interest and relevance to the ME/CFS and FMS people.
As we try to spread awareness and affect change, we ask you to contact us if you have matters of interest to bring to our attention. If you are in the medical or legal field, please let us know. We keep a roster of doctors and lawyers who are involved in the ME/CFS and FMS communities.
If you are a support group, please check our support group list and if your organization or group is not listed, please contact us with details so that we can add you to our list of support so that as many people as possible can get assistance with whatever help they need.
Although we are a Canadian organization, our outreach is world-wide. We need to be united to affect change. The National ME/FM Action Network adopted The Goose Story which is reflected in its logo wherein we emphasize that as the geese flying in “V” formation gain at least 71% greater flying range. We, as a united voice, will do the same compared to those who try to make it on their own. People Helping People Help Themselves and by not reacting to unfairness and acting for change, we can make a difference in the lives of many.
